We stayed overnight in a small thatched studio with our dog.
David was an excellent host, very welcoming.
The pub was very busy and popular with delicious food; I enjoyed a delicious home made pie; my husband had gammon egg and chips.
We chatted to an American couple and 2 local families, great friendly atmosphere.
The full English breakfast was really good. Thank you.

I hope the people of Sutton Scotney realise what an absolute jewel they have in their village. The Coach And Horses is like one of those pubs you read about but don't think actually exist anymore.
The atmosphere couldn't be cozier, with exposed wooden beams, open fire giving a sense of history regular live music. It's the perfect place to enjoy a refreshing pint or a delicious meal.
The menu is quite extensive with regular specials, but it never feels like a pretentious overpriced gastro pub. Simple honest wholesome food prepared with care and attention to detail is the order of the day.
The staff are the real stars of the show, though. It's always a delight to go somewhere where the people who work there seem to enjoy eachother's company all whilst keeping everything running smoothly catering for a diverse range of local regulars and visiting customers.
If you're traveling between Oxford and Southampton, this place is ideal for a visit.

We were so impressed with our visit to the Coach and Horses. The chap behind the bar is so friendly and welcoming.
The food was very tasty with proper portion sizes - my wife loved the Sea Bass special. The chocolate brownie sundae was to die for!
It was the best pub food we have experienced in years. We’ll certainly visit again.
We are proud to be in the Brit Stop catalogue with no charges for overnight stays for your motorhome.
All we ask is that you let us know you’re on the way with your estimated time of arrival, so we can have a space waiting for you…and to come and say hello of course!
